Sazon Mexi/can

This review is a little out of the ordinary, but I'm sure all the great things I mention here will apply to Sazon regardless.... Saxon provides an intimate atmosphere, with great music, service, and elevated bar food styled offerings. But the greatest part about it, is the love, care and attention to detail from Saul and his team. And if you've been having a rough day, they also have a fully stocked bar with great liquor and beer selections to choose from. We celebrated our post baptism gathering for around 30-40 people on a Sunday, booking the main dining hall for a couple of hours. The owner, Saul, was super flexible, allowing us to bring the cake, cookies, and decorations the night before, so we wouldn't have to deal with that on an already busy day. We were also able to figure out music and drinks at that time. When we arrived after the Mass, Saul and his team were just finishing up laying out the tables, and brought out a huge dispenser of pineapple orange juice which was perfect for the but of heat that started creeping in with the sun at full blast. After the couple gave a "Thank You" speech, and my father said a blessing over the food, the music started, all which sounded incredible over the restaurant's speaker system. We arranged for family style food offerings, to be shared among everyone, and passed around. First, there were plates of Cesar salad, and beet salad. I'm not a huge advocate of salads, but these were delicious enough that I would have been satisfied eating those alone. Then came spicy wings; crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and tasty homemade ranch dressing.... I believe most/all of the sauces are made in house, including my favorite pepper sauce. Then there was thin crust, wood oven pizza; cheese (for the kids), pepperoni, and prosciutto and caramelized pear., with fresh basil... Yes, it was as spectacular as your mind and mouth are telling you. Next, birria and fried fish tacos were also brought out, and I think at the point when everyone was full and needing to be rolled out. But there was still huge tequila shrimp and "bang bang" shrimp as well. I couldn't pick a favorite out of all the food. Everything was perfectly curated, plated, and sumptuous. And after all of that, we still had cake and cookies, which I'll talk about in another review. Sazon is a great gem in the neighborhood, and an easy to make favorite in the area. Friendly and courteous staff, remarkable owners, spectacular food, and awesome vibes are what makes this establishment worth checking out. I'll definitely be back for more

SAZON great dinner experience tonight , very attentive staff, great tasting flavours of the food we tried . Def a place you may want to try as was great experience for us Only critique offered was to dice up the chicken for pasta add on so we don’t have to cut the chicken ourselves prior to eating . They are located 19 Queen st E Hespeler .

I was also present at the same event mentioned by @Laura Salgado Flores, and with all due respect, my experience was quite different. The staff was kind, the food was great, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. I understand that everyone can perceive things differently, but I believe it’s also important to highlight when a local business puts genuine effort into what they do. I would definitely come back. They deserve recognition for their hard work and care. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

Update: This review was for The New York Restaurant in Hespeler. Not Sazon. It appears they took over the page and renamed it. The food is fantastic. So much is made in house and fresh now that they have a new executive chef. Beer and cocktail menu is extensive too. Staff are pretty friendly as well.

Love it here! The staff is super friendly, the food is always fresh and delicious. This is the best restaurant in Hespler. The Buffalo Sandwich is in the photo. And the coconut margarita is delicious!

Flavourful Fusion at Its Finest in Hespeler – Saxon MEXI/CAN Saxon MEXI/CAN in Hespeler, Cambridge, is a fantastic spot for any occasion—whether you're dining with family, meeting friends, or out on a date. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a modern fusion twist that sets the tone for an amazing meal. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer—crispy, flavourful, and perfectly spiced. For mains, we had the Beef Birria Tacos (a set of three) and the Beet Salad with grilled chicken. Both dishes were absolutely sensational—an explosion of fresh, vibrant flavours that hit all the right notes. Service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Great music as well!. Saxon Mexi/CAN is definitely a go-to for anyone looking for a unique taste experience paired with a great vibe.

My wife and I came for a late lunch on a Sunday - we shared some appetizers a few drinks (3 total). The food was delicious. We will be coming back with our daughters soon!

One of (if not the best) restaurants in Cambridge. We have been here countless times and have never had a disappointing meal. Each menu item that we have tried is full of flavour and perfectly done. If you are thinking of takeout, this place also smashes that! We've ordered for 2 or 9 people, and the quality was just as good. Must try!!
